Trip to Kuching Day 1

We went to Kuching for 5 days 4 night. The member are as followed..

These are the people who went to the Kuching trip.

At the first day, we gather at 5.30am. However, the bus was late because he don't know the exact direction. He called us and asked for the direction at 6.00am. When he arrived, we put in our luggage and get in the bus. I think when everyone got into the bus, they all feel delighted because it is cold enough and there is a television.

Good things never stay for long. When we arrive Sarikei for breakfast, the air conditioner break down. It becomes terribly hot. We waited at Sarikei for the bus driver to fix it but he gave up and called for another bus from Sibu. We waited for another 2 hours at Sarikei.

When the bus arrived, everyone was so delighted. However, good things never stay for long. The air conditioner break down again. There is no other way. We open the window and for the first time we feel that the air from outside is cooler than the air conditioner.

We arrived at Sri Aman for lunch. The price of the food there is killing our wallet. However, we still eat some and then left for Serian.

When we arrive at Serian, our plan is going to Ranchan pool for the mini waterfall. The water is cold and it is raining. Because of the rain, only 4 people went down to play water. We played for about 40 minutes and went back to the bus for our journey.

When we arrived Ching Kwong Church in Kuching, it is almost 7pm. We unpack everything and gotten everything done. We take the mattress and pillow from the fourth floor. At 7.30pm, we went to Hock Lee shopping center to eat dinner and shopping. Most of us eat at a chicken rice shop.

When we got back, we just rest and most of us sleep immediately due to the exhaustion from sitting in the bus for too long and that's the end of the first day.

17 April 2010 青年主日 Rehearsal

Number of people: 16

The day before our "青年主日", we have our rehearsal twice at night. Everyone sing and perform until very tired.

Although it is tiring, all of us are having a lot of fun praising and worship our God

The rehearsal start at 7.30pm. First rehearsal took about 50 minutes because we need to organize everything from the start. The second rehearsal is much faster because we skipped many parts.

Then we take a rest for about 4 minutes.


We are getting better.


After rehearsal, these group of people still stay back to practice the last song that they will perform until 10pm.

10 April 2010 "Talent Show"

Number of people: 18

We have a special performance tonight, by the members themselves. The rules is that they need to think a story made up from different characters that they got.


Mei Mei: "Which page?"
Shi Qing: "Here, here"


Choo Hou: "I am a modern guy. My bible is in my handphone!"


Xin Hui: "So it is like this....eh, wrong liao"


Yong Ming: "Lau po, look at camera please"


"Why do you wanna suicide?"
"My gf dump me, she said i eat too much and even eat her portion" T.T

10 April 2010, Gotong Royong

Number of people: 8

Every time it is our turn to clean the church, the number of people drop from average 15 to 8 people.

We clean the whole church bit by bit. Back, main hall, toilet, baby's room and corridor. The last thing that we all washed together is the van.

It is very dirty because it had been a long time since the last person wash it.

Lets start

7 March 2009 "主题"

We have 3 people from Sibu West District（西教区青团） to pay a visit.

Everyone is so serious when it comes to bible reading

The president of Sibu West District（西教区青团主席-陈哲旺） is announcing the report and activity that will be held soon.

Played one game to let them feel more relax.

The person in the middle will need to determine who is the leader who lead the others to do all the action.

Some were caught easily and some manage to slip through.

20 February 2010, Vote to Sing Donation

"点唱奉献"
Number of people: 15 people
We held this event to let everyone have a chance to donate their money after receiving their ang pao from Chinese New Year.

This event is held by passing down a list of song, a paper that ask for information such as nama voter, nama of the person who he/she votes, song number, message, singer and price. The minimum price is RM2.00 and the target is RM250.

However, some generous people donate more than RM2.00. If everyone donate RM2.00, we need to listen to 125 songs in 1 night but that does not happen. We thank God for this.=)

We reach our target and even surpass it. The amount collected is RM280++.

While we listen to the song, we also have some food and drinks which is the leftover from everyone's house during the Chinese New Year.

We have 2 person who come back from study oversea to join us which is 任卫 and 晓媛.

17 February 2010, Chinese New Year visiting

Chinese New Year visiting

Number of people: 11

This Chinese New Year visiting is only for Methodist Youth Fellowship.
We gather at church at about 6.45pm and started visiting at about 7pm. The first house we go is the house of this year's 主席 which is "美～美～！".

Then we go to Lily, "应光", "光权", "勇明", "世亮", "初豪" and lastly "郁舫"


We eat, drink, play and chat a lot. Of course we also receive some angpao.

This Chinese New Year visiting had undoubtedly increase the relationship of the fellowship.
